Fourier Rehab and Kurage Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Functional Rehabilitation Through Integrated NeuroSkin Technology

May 20, 2025

Chicago, United States, May 20, 2025 - Fourier Rehab, a global leader in intelligent rehabilitation robotics, and Kurage, a France-based innovator in AI-powered functional neurostimulation technology, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on delivering a next-generation rehabilitation solution. This exclusive partnership aims to integrate Kurage’s NeuroSkin technology with Fourier’s cutting-edge robotic devices, establishing a differentiated and comprehensive therapeutic continuum for functional recovery.

The partnership introduces a bundled rehabilitation offering that combines Kurage’s NeuroSkin device, an AI-powered smart FES garment for gait rehabilitation, with several of Fourier Rehab’s flagship devices. These include the ExoMotus™ M4, an advanced gait training robot designed for neurorehabilitation; CycleMotus™ A4, which offers active and passive cycling therapy; CycleMotus™ B2L, a dual-leg cycling solution for lower-limb training; and the CycleMotus™ H1, equipped with integrated leg support for intensive therapy sessions. When combined with NeuroSkin, these devices deliver a powerful blend of intelligent movement assistance and targeted neuromuscular stimulation, working to improve patient motor control, engagement, autonomy, and recovery.

This collaboration is founded on a shared vision to enhance functional rehabilitation outcomes through the seamless fusion of robotics and neurotechnology. By aligning NeuroSkin’s wearable neurostimulation system with Fourier’s robotic platforms, clinicians are empowered with tools that enable more personalized, dynamic, and effective therapy protocols. The integrated solution allows for simultaneous stimulation and assisted movement, maximizing the impact of each session while supporting patients across the continuum of care, from acute therapy to long-term recovery.

A key milestone in this partnership will be the global launch of the bundled solution, starting with its planned presentation at Medica 2025 in Germany. Fourier Rehab will showcase the integrated system to an international audience of healthcare professionals, pending the finalization of clinical protocols and technical documentation to ensure readiness for widespread clinical adoption.

“We’re incredibly excited about this partnership with Kurage, which marks a significant leap forward in functional rehabilitation. By combining our intelligent robotic technologies with Kurage’s NeuroSkin stimulation system, we’re creating a powerful new modality that merges physical support with neural engagement. This is more than an integration—a redefinition of how we approach neurorehabilitation worldwide,” said Owen Teoh, Managing Director of Fourier Rehab International Division.

“This partnership is more than a technological integration—it’s a shared commitment to redefine rehabilitation. Together with Fourier Rehab, we are laying the groundwork for a new standard of care, one that empowers patients with the tools to move again, live again, and thrive beyond their limitations,” said Rudi Gombauld, CEO & co-founder of Kurage.

This MoU signifies an exclusive partnership and reflects the mutual commitment of Fourier Rehab and Kurage to drive innovation in the rehabilitation field. By combining their expertise in robotics and neurostimulation, the two companies aim to deliver future-ready rehabilitation technologies that raise the standard of care for patients worldwide.
